J. Vanover & Co. is a design-forward furniture studio and showroom based in Melbourne, Florida. Our work is guided by intention, balance, and craftsmanship—creating furniture that feels thoughtful, grounded, and built to last.
We design our collections in-house, focusing on solid wood furniture with clean architectural lines softened by warmth and proportion. Each piece is carefully considered, not trend-driven, and created to live comfortably in real homes for years to come.
Our case goods are crafted in collaboration with trusted Amish craftsmen in the United States, using solid hardwoods and time-honored building techniques. Every detail—from joinery to finish—is handled with care and respect for the material. Our upholstery, including sofas, chairs, and sectionals, is also made in the U.S., allowing us to offer customization across both wood and upholstery without compromising the integrity of the design.
The showroom is curated as a gallery rather than a traditional retail space. We invite clients to experience furniture in a quieter, more tactile way—paying attention to scale, texture, and craftsmanship. Our approach is personal and collaborative, helping clients select pieces that feel right for the way they live.

Most of what you see in our showroom is intentionally curated by J. Vanover & Co. and selected specifically for our store. These are not collections you’ll find repeated from showroom to showroom—or flipped through in a catalog at every furniture store in Melbourne.
We work directly with American makers and Amish craftsmen to develop pieces that feel considered and well built, without excess. Clean lines, honest materials, and thoughtful proportions guide every decision—from how a piece is designed to how it lives in a home.
